As a Certified Administrative Lawyer, Roland advises on renewable energy projects, primarily photovoltaic and wind power projects. His advice covers the areas of project development and project transactions as well as all related legal issues. He focuses on public law issues and approval procedures (urban land-use planning/building permits/emission control and nature and species protection issues) as well as securing land under civil law.
Roland represents clients in energy law issues (e.g. grid access, feed-in, billing, drafting of pooling agreements), in the drafting of energy supply contracts as well as in the area of building supply, self-supply concepts and energy efficiency with a particular focus on existing buildings.
He also advises companies and investors on project development and transactions in the real estate sector with a focus on approval, planning and specialist law (e.g. nature and species protection law) and the creation and maintenance of building rights.
Another focus of Roland’s work is support of emission control approval procedures (initial and amendment procedures) and advising plant operators on the adaptation of existing plants to changing legal conditions.
